Meet Keta Bill

Legendary studio drummer Hal Blaine has dubbed Keta, "The San Francisco Treat". Best known for bringing back the Rice-a-Roni jingle, Keta has done ad work for Toyota, Macy's, Philly Cream Cheese, Nintendo and many more.

A Bay Area soul singer favorite, Keta sings with the popular show band, Big Bang Beat, and has performed as the Chanteuse in the hit show, Teatro Zinzanni.

Keta has also worked singing for films such as Beverly Hills Cop II, singing "Hold On" in the Playboy Mansion scene. She also sang in the recent film, Rent, that was filmed here in San Francisco. A member of both SAG and AFTRA, Keta is available for print work as well.

Keta has been performing children's music for the past 18 years as well as teaching chorus and singing in the San Francisco and San Mateo County Public Schools. With a B.A. in theatre directing and music, she has enjoyed teaching voice, writing music with her students, building choruses and preparing her students for performance. Keta teaches through several organizations such as the San Francisco Arts Education Project, Spindrift School of Performing Arts in Pacifica, Brisbane Dance Workshop, Blue Bear School of Music and many others.

Keta Bill is back and her dynamic 3 piece band is ready to keep any party or nightclub dancing through the night.

You may remember Keta from bands like Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, Big Bang Beat!, Stu Blank and His Nasty Habits or MVP. Zasu Pitts brought her notoriety. When KQED-TV recorded" Zasu Pitts Live at the Great American Music Hall", Keta belted out the hits such as "Try a Little Tenderness", "Shoorah Shoorah", and, of course, "Respect".

Keta has been nominated 5 times for San Francisco Bay Area Musicians "Bammie" award, she has performed on numerous CDs for artists Todd Rundgren, Kenny G, Roy Rogers, Maria Muldaur, Ziggy Modeliste and Ronnie Montrose. Keta has sung live back up for performers Bonnie Raitt, Bettye Levette, Huey Lewis, Van Morrison and more.

If needed, her soulful 3 piece band can be peppered up with horns and more.
